ABOUT ME
My name is Gina Mazzetti (LMFT #135698) and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in the helping professions for the past decade and specifically a therapist for nearly five years. I use an integrative approach, where I assess the strengths and resources already available to you but potentially hidden in your blind spots. I’m happy to help you identify them and support you in taking advantage of them.
MY APPROACH
I work from a humanistic client–centered lens, honoring my clients’ self–determination and free will. I am a proponent of using prevention modalities. Integrating solution–focused therapy reflects my belief that you hold a lot of the answers to how to make things better for yourself. Such interventions aid in people lessening their depression, increasing communication skills, and fostering crisis management.
My training in Internal Family Systems enables me to help clients with stressors including but not limited to grief, relationships, career issues, and self-esteem. My clients gain several takeaways including an increase in compassion for themselves, as well as the curiosity to have a sense of wonder about how to make things work more effectively for them.
MY COMMUNICATION STYLE
I’m an empathic person and genuinely care for the people I serve. I believe my energy and recollection in session are my biggest strengths.
MY JOURNEY TO MENTAL HEALTHCARE
As a child, I found peace in the counselor’s office. It is a privilege to give that peace, compassion, and empathy back to my clients.
